Men's Knitwear
Where is Cordings men's knitwear made?
All our men's knitwear is made in Britain, with many of our lambswool jumpers manufactured in Hawick in the Scottish Borders. One of the most storied textile towns in the world, Hawick has been at the heart of British knitwear production since the late 18th century. Its cool climate, soft water, and generations of skilled craftspeople making it the natural home of fine lambswool and cashmere. When you choose a Cordings knitwear piece, that heritage comes with it.
How do I care for men's knitwear to prevent shrinking?
To keep your knitwear in the best possible condition, always check the care label before washing. Most lambswool and fine knit jumpers should be hand washed only, in cool water with a gentle wool detergent. Some can be washed on a delicate wool/handwash cycle at 30 degrees or below. Avoid wringing or twisting the garment, instead, gently press out excess water and reshape while damp. Always dry flat away from direct heat or sunlight, as hanging a wet knit will cause it to stretch and lose its shape.
