Depending on the garment, linen can be washed in the washing machine at a low temperature. However, Linen jackets should always be dry-cleaned, due to the more complex nature of the garment. All Cordings linen jackets are dry clean only.
How do you dry a linen jacket without it losing it's shape?
Linen jackets should return dry from the dry-cleaners, however linen should always be airdried if the garment gets wet. The best way to manage creasing is to ease out creases with your hands whilst the fabric is still damp. Then, once the fabric is dry, use a steamer to eradicate many of the creases.
Is it normal for a linen jacket to look wrinkled?
Anything made of linen will always have some wrinkles in the fabric, as linen creases incredibly easily. This can be managed to some extent with careful drying and ironing/steaming the garment, but a bit of wrinkling is part of the natural charm of the fabric.
