English tailoring is admired and respected all over the world and Cordings is proud to be part of this heritage. Our Cordings’ suits have been perfected on a traditional English block and this 3 button sharkskin suit, woven in Yorkshire, is no exception.
The term sharkskin in tailoring refers to a finely woven fabric with a subtle two-tone effect, created by alternating light and dark threads in a twill weave. This gives the cloth a sleek, slightly textured appearance with a refined sheen, reminiscent of the smooth skin of a shark.
