Made in Britain and crafted in a pure wool keepers tweed, woven in Yorkshire by Mallalieus and fully lined in a luxuriously soft yet weighty Alpaca woven by Steiff in Austria - world famous for their eponymous teddy bears.
The style originated in the 1920's as one of a group of pieces now known as Greatcoats - sturdy, practical styles that were created to withstand bitter cold weather in style.
It's belted silhouette is an unusual and highly practical feature; creating a rather more waisted shape than the other Greatcoats. As you would expect from Cordings, the coat marries practical design features such as a storm tab on the collar with impeccable tailoring and the finest cloths.
The Nevis is truly a masterclass in classic British design.
