How To Tie a Four-in-Hand Knot?

To tie a Four-in-Hand knot, start with the wide end of the tie on the right and the narrow end on the left, with the wide end hanging about 8–10 inches lower than the narrow end. Cross the wide end over the narrow end, then bring it behind and around to the right. Wrap it across the front from right to left, then bring it up through the loop between the collar and the tie. Finally, pass the wide end down through the knot at the front. Tighten by holding the narrow end and sliding the knot up to the collar. Adjust for a neat, slightly elongated shape.

How To Wear a Tie

A tie is an accessory that immediately makes an outfit smart. It is best worn with a shirt and jacket so you can see the whole tie. Wearing a colourful or patterned tie is a great way to boost your outfit with colour without affecting the formal appearance.
