- Please Note: This type of leather contains natural oils to prevent it from becoming dry and brittle over the years to increase longevity. When this type of leather comes into contact with water, there will be a reaction between the water and the oil. This will result in temporary lightening of the leather. This is a normal occurrence and when dried naturally, the leather will return to its original shade.
