Begin by laying your handkerchief flat and fold in half to create a rectangle. Fold again to create a small square and the turn the square so one of the corners are facing you. From here, grab the right-hand corner and fold it over so the tip of the corner is placed just past the centre of the shape. Fold the left corner to the right to create a cone. Fold the bottom corner upwards at the back and finally place in your pocket with the peak pointing towards the sky.

Although pocket handkerchiefs can be used for personal hygiene purposes, they are mostly considered an accessory. If worn correctly, a pocket handkerchief should incorporate a dash of colour into your suit ensemble. Your handkerchief should not match the colour of your tie.
