Chestnut Double Breasted Polo Coat

Cording's has a long and celebrated history in creating outstanding outerwear, marrying form and function effortlessly. Our Polo Coat is no exception and is a heritage piece through and through.

The luxurious cloth is exclusively woven for Cording's in Lancashire in weighty and weather-resistant pure wool. Elysian is the name given to the cloth used in our duffle coats, a word meaning blissful and heavenly, chosen because it was considered the finest finish you could achieve on wool. The weaving process is unusually complex. The cloth is built up in three layers, which are then woven together to create a dense, stable base. By the time the cloth is finished, it has passed through fifteen separate processes, making it one of the most labour-intensive fabrics we work with, and one of the most rewarding to wear.

Based on a Chesterfield coat in a double-breasted style, with a set-in sleeve and a gauntlet cuff. The pockets are a unique laid-on patch style with pocket flaps, ensuring a neat silhouette. The back is finished with a deep centre vent. Internally there are two pockets, and the coat is fully lined in our weighty Cording's Crest lining.
