A Need For Tweed

Each season our design team work with British, Irish and Italian mills to put together our men’s jacket collection. The process of creating the range starts a year before the jackets arrive in store, and is a true collaboration between the designers in the mills and Cordings. We often start by looking through their archive patterns, reworking designs that have a 50 year old heritage into new colourways to sit with our knitwear and trouser collections. It is essential that each jacket can be worn in a number of ways, ensuring they are truly versatile. ‘Can this jacket take you from town to country?’ is an important question that the design team ask when making their final selections.

AW2017 has been an exciting collection to put together, with the new Calvay Harris cloth in two colours, a smart new Shetland blazer and a Donegal which we are offering in a three piece suit. We have selected five of our favourite new tweeds and teamed them with our new season trousers.
